Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program hosts training on swine flu

The Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program, together with the Intellectual Disabilities Training Council, recently held training on the prevention, detection and treatment of H1N1 swine flu virus. The training was facilitated by Dr. Sharon Falzone, Director of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Health Care Quality Unit, a component of The Advocacy Alliance; representatives of the Luzerne County 91 1 Communication Center; and the Luzerne County Emergency Management Agency. Among the more than 150 consumers, parents, caregivers, and human service staff were, first row: Ann Forgach, United Rehabilitation Services; Gina Galli, MH/MR; Pam Zotynia, Arc of Luzerne County; Mooneen Bielecki, parent/advocate; Luzerne County Commissioner Maryanne Petrilla; Dr. Sharon Falzone, The Advocacy Alliance; Rachel Loeflad, Deutsch Institute; Jennifer Cusate, self-advocate; and Debbie McGlynn, Step-By-Step.
