PRINGLE: West Side Career and Technical Center Parent-Teacher-Student Association in the school’s library. All parents and teachers from Dallas, Lake-Lehman, Wyoming, Northwest and Wyoming Valley West school districts are invited.

WILKES-BARRE TWP.: Wilkes-Barre Township Senior Citizens at 12:30 p.m. at the Wilkes-Barre Township Fire Department, Watson Street. Mary Sledjeski will preside. Marie Hatcher will give the treasurer’s report. Refreshments will be served. Call Stella Schatzel at 824-6369 to make reservations for the trip to the Bloomsburg Fair on Sept. 28.

DUPONT: Dupont Lions Club at 7 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Main Street. New members are invited.

Sept. 17

JENKINS TWP.: Italian American Association of Luzerne County at 5:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lodge, 498 Yatesville Road near Pittston Area High School. Dinner begins at 6:15 p.m. The theme is country western and there will be music by Gary Dee and dancing until 10:15 p.m. Cost is $24 per person. Sept. 18

SCRANTON: Calligrapher’s Guild of Northeastern Pennsylvania at 7:30 p.m. at Marywood University, Shields Center for Visual Arts Room 225. The Pangram challenge will be reviewed and completed Pangrams will be shown and refreshments served. Call 542-5416 for more information. Admission is free and open to the public.
