Newport Township seeking help with cleanup

The Newport Township Community Organization seeks volunteers to assist with the 2010 Great American Cleanup of Pennsylvania on Saturday in Wanamie, Newport Township. Volunteers will meet at the municipal parking lot at 8 a.m. where supplies will be distributed. The project involves the main roads in Newport Township from Lee to Sheatown. Refreshments will follow. Area residents and businesses can also participate by sprucing up their neighborhoods. The Big Junk Drop Off ends today and illegal dumpsite cleanups begin Monday through April 23.
