Nuangola Borough recently held a proclamation ceremony in honor of the 100th anniversary of its incorporation. Jason Jarecki, Luzerne County communications director, presented a resolution designating Nov. 16 as Nuangola Borough Day. Children were presented certificates of appreciation and friendship pins from the House of Representatives and Nuangola Borough Council and $5 gift certificates from McDonald’s.
