Roaring Brook Baptist Church of Hunlock Creek recently held its annual Awana Awards Program. The program begins in September and ends with a camping trip in June. Clubbers memorize scripture verses, complete crafts, service projects, and activities in their handbooks and more to earn awards. Three- and 4-year-old Cubbies McKenna Budzak, Noah Budzak, Haley McTague and Jalyn Rader received Cubbie Bear Pins for completing Hopper Books. Abby Strange received a Second Year Ribbon for completing her Hopper Book. Madison Budzak and Cassidy Gray, clubbers in the Sparks Club, received First Book Ribbons and JT Brubaker, Madison Budzak, Riley Howard and Jerry Snyder received Two Books Ribbons. For completing The Ultimate Adventure Handbooks, Hannah Marvin of the Chums and Guards Group earned her First Book Ribbon, and Becky Schoen and Katie Reilly completed their second books and received the Excellence Trophy and Pin. For completing their third book, Ashley Brubaker and Samantha Schoen received Third Book Plaques. To receive the Timothy Trophy, the highest award an Awana Clubber can receive, a Guard must complete all four The Ultimate Adventure handbooks, a total of 310 sections. Emily Snyder earned the top trophy. Bradley Naugle and Sean Schoen, of the Pals and Pioneers Group, earned Third Book Plaques.
