Ruth’s Chris Steak House, located in Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, Plains Township, recently hosted an elaborate wine dinner featuring vintages from the world-renowned Dr. Loosen Estate in Germany. Winemaker Ernst Loosen, who traveled from Germany, gave the 100 guests in attendance an introduction to winemaking. Owned and operated by The Metz Group of Dallas, Ruth’s Chris was recently awarded a 2009 Restaurant Wine List Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator Magazine. The five course wine dinner featured a menu created by chefs Robert Docchio and John C. Metz Jr. that was paired with a variety of wines from Dr. Loosen Estates and other wineries. A private party in honor of Loosen’s visit was hosted by John C. Metz Sr. at his home at Harveys Lake. At the dinner are: Christian Leo, general manager, Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse; Jeffrey Metz, The Metz Group; Maureen Trippe, Ch�teau St. Michelle Winery; John C. Metz Sr., The Metz Group; Loosen; Ian Black, Loosen Bros. USA; and Bob Surrency, Ch�teau St. Michelle Winery.
