Members of the Wyoming Seminary student government delivered Thanksgiving dinner baskets to area homes. The annual Thanksgiving basket project, a school tradition for 42 years, began with fundraising appeals sent to students, parents, faculty and staff. Student government members also solicited donations at the school’s Thanksgiving chapel. About $2,000 was raised, funding dinners for 1 1 local families identified by the Visiting Nurses Association. Baskets were delivered to Shavertown, Edwardsville, Pringle, Wilkes-Barre, Nanticoke and Freeland. Government officers Renata O’Donnell and Jack Cartwright organized this year’s project.
