Senior earns scholarship

Brian Rosick, a senior at Greater Nanticoke Area Senior High School, was the recipient of The Lieutenant Alan Bogdon Memorial Scholarship Award presented on awards day at the high school. Lt. Bogdon, who died suddenly on May 1, 2005, was a member of the Wilkes-Barre police department for 26 years. He faithfully served as a K-9 officer, sergeant, detective and lieutenant. The scholarship was established by his wife, Sandy, as an ongoing tribute to his dedication and commitment to the Wilkes-Barre Police Department. Rosick will attend Luzerne County Community College and major in criminal justice. From left: Mrs. Alan Bogdon and Rosick.
