Brone Lobichusky, a junior at MMI Preparatory School and daughter of Joseph and Suzanne Lobichusky, Barnesville, earned fifth place at the recent Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Lancaster for her audio essay based on ‘Service and Sacrifice by America’s Veterans Benefit Today’s Youth by ... .’ Lobichusky was awarded a certificate, flag set, embroidered VFW jacket, $2,000, and was presented a certificate and trophy by Freeland Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5010 during a special assembly. Members of Post 5010 from let: Bob Kislan, Home Association president; George Merenich, commander; Joan Sarosky, Women’s Auxiliary president; Lobichusky; and Ray Clymer, VFW quartermaster.
