EDWARDSVILLE: The Family Caregivers Support Group will have its meeting from 1-3 p.m. today at the Edwardsville Senior Center, Russell Street.

EDWARDSVILLE: The Edwardsville Senior Center, 57 Russell St., will offer a program on legal issues and free advice by Attorney Beatrice Heveran. One-on-one sessions are available.

A “Pack Your Bag” program by CVS and Rich Frantz, CVS pharmacist, begins at 12:15 p.m. Wednesay. There will be giveaways and information on osteoporosis.

Regina Allen of the Northeast Cancer Institute will present “Breast Cancer Awareness: What You Need To Know” at 12:15 p.m. Monday.

KINGSTON: The Kingston Senior Citizen Center, 680 Wyoming Ave., will play Halloween Charades at 11 a.m. today.

Wilkes University students will host a health fair from 9-11 a.m. Thursday.

LUZERNE COUNTY: The Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties reminds senior citizens that the deadline to use 2009 Farmers Market Nutrition Vouchers is Nov. 30.

Vouchers can be used to purchase locally grown fruits and vegetables at participating Farmers Market stands. For more information, contact Rhonda Adams at 822-1158, ext. 3335.

NANTICOKE: The Rose Tucker Center at Mercy Center, Mercy Special Care Building, 128 W. Washington St., will host Dan O’Brien from the Area Agency on Aging for the Benefits Check-Up from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

A bus trip is planned to the American Music Theater for a Christmas show on Nov. 4. Cost is $85 for members; $88 for non-members.

PLAINS TWP.: Plains Senior Citizens Project Head will meet at noon Wednesday in SS. Peter and Paul’s Church. Hosts are Jean Curtis, Sophia Czakur, Carmella DeBonis, Marie Dominick, and Mary Drew and should arrive by 11 a.m. in the cafeteria. New members are invited.

Members are asked to bring donations of canned food, cereal and pastas for the SS. Peter and Paul Food Pantry.

SHICKSHINNY: Shickshinny Senior Center, 19 W. Vine St., will offer the “Nutrition and You” program Wednesday.

An ice cream social fundraiser is planned at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Legal advice with Frank Pasquina will be available at 10 a.m. Monday.

TUNKHANNOCK: Wyoming County Senior Center, 101 Dymond Terrace, will host the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute for a talk on “Ovarian and Prostate Cancers” at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

WYOMING: Wyoming-West Wyoming Seniors will convene at 1:30 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrows Hall with President Frank Perfinski presiding.

Winners at the last meeting were Regina Spitale, Ann Turon, Dora Kraynak, and Betty O’Hara. The bingo jackpot winner was Charmaine Potenza.
