EXETER: At a recent meeting of the Cosmopolitan Seniors, a special raffle was conducted with ceramic holiday dishes awarded to Dolores Bubblo and Ann Paluski. Joe Kleback won a basket of lottery tickets and Irene Parini won a wreath. Door prizes were awarded to Vern Cardillo, Johanna Malinowski, Tony Matreselva, Theresa Menhennett, and Bernie Serbin. Cheryl Pipher won the bingo jackpot.
The next meeting will take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 10 in St. Cecelia’s Parish Center. Vic Malinowski will preside.
The annual Christmas party begins at noon Dec. 1. Reservations may be made with chairperson Marie Cheskiewicz.
KINGSTON: Marywood University students will visit the Kingston Senior Citizen Center, 680 Wyoming Ave., at 10:30 a.m. today to discuss their presentation on Nov. 10.
Blood pressures will be checked at 10:30 a.m. Thursday and a “Meet and Greet” with Kingston Commons is planned.
Friday is Joke Day at lunchtime. Bring favorite jokes to share.
The shuffleboard team will travel to Tunkhannock Monday, and the movie “Pursuit of Happiness” will be shown at 1 p.m.

PITTSTON: The Pittston Senior Center’s Hiking Club will meet at Frances Slocum State Park, weather permitting, at 10 a.m. today. Nikki Lavenda will lead the group.
Golden Care will give free blood pressure screenings from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday at the center, 441 N. Main St.
Marywood University students will present a program on nutrition at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
APPRISE volunteers are available by appointment for Medicare recipients. Prescription drug plans will be reviewed to select the best plan to enroll in from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31. Appointments can be made by anyone in need of a “Benefits Checkup” by calling Connie or Hazel at 655-5561.
PITTSTON: St. Joseph’s Senior Social Club will meet at 3 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Oblates of St. Joseph’s Seminary, state Route 315. Refreshments will be served. Hosts are Gloria DeRosa, Helen Adonizio and Carmella DeBonis. Membership is open to men and women 55 years and older.
Plans for the Christmas party scheduled Dec. 12 will be finalized.

PLAINS TWP.: Plains Senior Citizens Project Head will meet at noon Wednesday in the cafeteria at SS. Peter and Paul’s Church. Hosts are Eleanor Donati, Sunny Dudeck, Cecilia Dunsmuir, Jennie Zigel and Sadie Guerra. Baking is not required. The Christmas party will be discussed. Members are asked to bring donations of canned food, baby food, paper products, and monetary gifts for the SS. Peter and Paul’s Food Pantry to this session. New members are invited.
PLYMOUTH: Silver and Gold will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 10 at Holy Child Center. Table 4 is in charge of refreshments.
The Christmas party is scheduled for Dec. 8 at the Shawnee Room.

TUNKHANNOCK: Wyoming County Senior Center, 101 Dymond Terrace, will offer blood pressure screenings by Tyler Hospital from 10 a.m.-noon today.
Regina Allen from the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute will discuss breast cancer at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
“A War in Letters” will be presented by Mary Beth Voda at 11 a.m. Thursday. Family letters from World War II will be read.
The center’s shuffleboard team will host Kingston Monday.
