EDWARDSVILLE: The UGI Electric Retirees’ Association will have its annual Christmas party and Dutch-treat luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Costello’s Restaurant, Gateway Shopping Center, U.S. Route 11.

All UGI Electric retirees are invited.

EXETER: Cosmopolitan Seniors will travel to Mount Airy Casino on Jan. 13, and a musical and dinner show at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse Feb. 8.

KINGSTON: Christmas Charades will be played at the Kingston Senior Citizen Center, 680 Wyoming Ave., at 11 a.m. today.

A special holiday dinner will be served Wednesday. Make reservations by 1 p.m. today by calling 287-1102.

On Thursday, bagged lunches will be served and the center will close at 11:30 a.m. Regular activities will not take place.

The “Birthday of the Month” will take place Friday.

The movie “White Christmas” will be shown at 1 p.m. Monday.

The Pennsylvania Association of Senior Centers is sponsoring a Poetry and Photography Contest for seniors. The theme is “The Winds of Change – A Vision of the Future.” Entries must be submitted by Jan. 31. For more information, call the center.

PITTSTON: The Pittston Senior Center, 441 N. Main St., will offer a special Christmas dinner, program and raffle Wednesday. The festivities begin with the program at 11:30 a.m. Reservations must be made by today. Donation is $2.

The center will close at noon Thursday. Bagged lunches will be served and afternoon activities canceled. Place orders by Wednesday.

Members marking birthdays in December will be celebrated Friday and entered in a drawing for a food basket. Birthday celebrants are asked to make dinner reservations by Thursday.

The center seeks donations of four-ply yarn, which will be used by members to make lap robes for homebound seniors at Christmas.

The center is forming a bowling league. Games will take place Fridays beginning in January. Novice and expert bowlers 60 years and older are invited to join. To register and for more information, contact Connie Andrews at 655-5561.

SWOYERSVILLE: Swoyersville Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church on Hughes Street.

Winners of the recent 50-50 raffle were Dolores Jeskiewicz, Eleanor Cheskiewicz, Olga Cajka and Lorraine Cwalina.

Members celebrating birthdays in December are Lorraine Cwalina, Helen Kiwak and Violet Dzwalski.

TUNKHANNOCK: Golden Living Center will visit the Wyoming County Senior Center, 101 Dymond Terrace, at 11 a.m. today. White Candy Cane Day will be observed. Members are encouraged to wear red.

A special Christmas meal will be served Wednesday.

The center will close early and serve bagged lunches Thursday. Transportation will not be available.

WILKES-BARRE: The Charles T. Adams Senior Center, 5 E. Market St., will host Penn State nutritionist Lillian Burnette at 10:30 a.m. today.

“Beating the Holidays’ Blues” will be presented by David O’Brien at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

The center will be closed Thursday.
