KINGSTON — A Wilkes-Barre man under investigation for allegedly providing a handgun to a minor was charged Monday with the sexual assault of another teenage boy.

According to court papers:

Kingston police started investigating Alexander Walski, 61, of Division Street, for reportedly providing a .22-caliber handgun to a 16-year-old boy.

During a May 26 interview with detectives from Kingston and the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, Walski told police the boy initially stole the gun from him, and he allowed the boy to keep it because the boy told him he “needs protection at night.”

Walski said he gave rides to the boy and to his mother, whom he first met when he lived at Dan Flood Towers a few years prior. He said he also gave rides to a 15-year-old boy and frequently buys both of them dinner.

After further questioning about his relationships with the two boys, Walski gave the investigators permission to check his smartphone. Authorities say they found nude photos of the boys stored on the phone. Walski said the boys had sent him photos of themselves, and a third juvenile also sent him photos of the boys.

Walski also told detectives he had a grinder and scale in his car, which he used to assist the 15-year-old in buying marijuana. He admitted to having a sexual relationship with the 15-year-old, performing oral sex on the boy at the boy’s house, at a storage shed in Wilkes-Barre Township and at a house in Plymouth.

The 15-year-old said Walski paid him $20 for each photo, $40 to watch the juvenile masturbate, and $100 to perform oral sex on the juvenile. He also said Walski would drive him to Wilkes-Barre and buy marijuana for him, and that Walski told him he works in security, is in the Mafia and buries bodies.

Walski was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 16, statutory sexual assault, sexual abuse of children, contacting a minor for sexual purposes, delivery of a controlled substance and criminal use of a communication facility.

He was arraigned before District Judge Joseph Halesey. Unable to post $500,000 bail, was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility to await a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. June 14.

Police said Walski had been out on $100,000 bail after being arrested for providing a firearm to a minor.
