George and Donna Gergel, Shavertown, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Michael William, to Maria Caperelli, daughter of James and Lisa Caperelli of Doylestown.
The bride-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Central Bucks East High School and received her bachelor of science degree in biology with a mathematics minor from Drexel University in 2011. She received her master’s degree in biomedical sciences from The Commonwealth Medical College in 2012. She is finishing her third year of medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
The groom-to-be is a 2007 graduate of Dallas High School and received his bachelor of science degree in biology and neuroscience from King’s College in 2011. He received his master’s degree in biomedical science from The Commonwealth Medical College in 2012. He is finishing his fourth year of medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.
Maria is the granddaughter of Margarita and the late Vittorio Rossi, Hazleton, and Maria and the late James Caperelli Sr., Philadelphia.
Michael William is the grandson of the late Frank and Ruth Sheperis, Wyoming, and the late John and Mery Gergel, Shavertown.
The couple will exchange vows in June 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Doylestown.
