Pair of favorites finds way back to ‘Guiding Light’

This fall marks the return of two former “Guiding Light” cast members, Daniel Cosgrove and David Andrew MacDonald, who play, respectively, Bill and Edmund. Cosgrove has been away from the series for almost two years, while MacDonald last appeared in January 2006, as Edmund continues to languish in jail. Both roles are expected debut next month.

“GL’s” John Driscoll (Coop) has started a new blog, http://jdriscoll01.blogspot.com, on which he’ll share his personal thoughts, as well as his take on Coop’s latest exploits.

As “Passions” counts down the days until its DirecTV launch on Monday, Sept. 17, viewers can participate in a 30-minute call-in show airing Thursday, Sept. 13. Eric Martsolf (Ethan) will host “Passions LIVE!” and the show will feature Eva Tamargo and Galen Gering (Pilar and Luis). Those wanting to share their opinions may call 1-800-860-8537 during the broadcast, which, like “Passions,” will air on DirecTV’s The 101 entertainment channel. A new actress, Hannia Guillen, has signed on to play Paloma on the new “Passions.”

Fans of “One Life to Live’s” Jason Tam should be delighted that his character, Markko, will survive the summer. The actor has inked a new agreement with the show. This month also brings another visit from David to Llanview, with Tuc Watkins reprising the role.
