LAS VEGAS — Mark Steines, co-anchor of “Entertainment Tonight,” will host the Miss America contest next year.
TLC will air the “Miss America Live!” show from the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Jan. 26, TLC and the Miss America Organization announced Monday. The two-hour event is the finale of a four-part reality show designed to prepare the 52 contestants for the competition. “Miss America: Reality Check” premieres Jan. 4.
“Given the fact that Mark is married to one of our most beloved Miss Americas, Leanza Cornett, he already offers a great appreciation for the show,” said Miss America Organization President Art McMaster in a statement.
