Vodka, vodka everywhere.
Madison’s in Nanticoke carries 115 varieties, from Three Olives’ Tomato to Pinnacle’s Gummy, which tastes of Swedish fish.
Bar manager George Morio points to Pinnacle’s Whipped and Chocolate Whipped Vodka as popular choices.
“Put Whipped with orange vodka, and you have a creamsicle. Throw banana vodka with the Chocolate Whipped, and it’s like you’re tasting chocolate-covered bananas.”
Also popular is Three Olives’ Cake Vodka, which Morio uses to make a Red Velvet Cake Martini.
“I don’t think you can do any wrong by it,” he said. “You can make pretty much any dessert you want in liquid form.”
The Red Velvet martini is sweet but drinkable and tastes like its cake counterpart.
Non-alcoholic components are cranberry and pineapple juices, and the other booze is the raspberry liqueur Chambord, now offered in a Chambord-flavored vodka as well.
