WEEKLY SOAP REVIEW TOBY GOLDSTEIN/TMS

ALL MY CHILDREN: As Jesse lured Randi’s pimp into a trap that led to Fletcher’s arrest, Randi finally told Frankie that she’s a hooker. However, he remained involved in Randi’s life, much to Angie’s dismay. Angie had a change of heart and urged Jesse to become chief of police. Ryan revealed that the memory-restoring surgery could kill him. Samuel and Erica ended up stuck in a cell during an unexpected lockdown. After forcing Annie to admit on the stand that she previously gave false evidence against him, Richie was granted bail. Teaming up to get rid of Richie, Zach and Ryan found Annie unconscious in Richie’s room, and a suspicious Zach believed she has something to hide. Coming: Angie stands up for what she believes in.

AS THE WORLD TURNS: Just after Meg accepted Paul’s marriage proposal, Sofie floored him with the news that she’s pregnant with his baby. Paul made it clear to Sofie that he’s still marrying Meg, but couldn’t bring himself to tell his fiancee the news. Holden and Carly were trapped during a storm at the kids’ summer camp and their sexual tension burst into lovemaking. Janet professed her love to Brad, who rebuffed her. Meanwhile, Parker gave Liberty a kiss. Katie was relieved when Brad finally told her everything about Janet. Coming: Emily and Casey draw unwanted attention.

BOLD AND BEAUTIFUL: Beth was finally persuaded to come back to Los Angeles but tried every excuse, except the truth, as to why she needs to return to Paris. Phoebe overheard Marcus and Steffy talking about Donna being his mother and informed Ridge. While Ridge launched an investigation of Marcus and subtly threatened him at work, Eric was impressed by Marcus’ behavior at Forrester. Eric’s reaction to learning the truth about Marcus was a surprise to everyone, who had expected fury. Ridge forbade Steffy from having any further contact with Marcus. Coming: Will Beth fold under pressure and finally give up the truth?

DAYS OF OUR LIVES: While discussing their mysterious past over dinner, Trent warned Nicole to keep her mouth shut or he’ll expose her deep dark secret. Chloe and Lucas devised a plan for her to tell the cops that she saw Paul on the pier, but during questioning, Roman caught Chloe texting Lucas for help. With a promise of Marlena’s secrecy, Philip gave her the disk from Stefano’s safe, which Marlena believes contains John’s memory and personality. However, when Ava showed up to see John, a disgusted Marlena left. Chelsea and Daniel’s successful first date ended with a kiss. Coming: Philip tries to keep his dirty dealings hidden.

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Carly feared that if she’s pregnant, Jax might not be the father, and evaded discussing the subject with Sonny. Meanwhile, with Robin unwilling to trust Patrick’s long-term commitment, he intended to become part of his child’s life. Anthony told Claudia to prove her family loyalty by killing Jason and scolded her for not doing so. Following another of Anthony’s threats against Kristina, Alexis turned to Jerry, who paid the Zaccharas an unpleasant visit. Scott had Johnny arrested after his brawl with Logan over Lulu, then he and Logan lied to the police that Johnny started it. Coming: Carly finds out whether she’s expecting.

GUIDING LIGHT: Cassie revealed to Harley on the phone that she had slept with Cyrus, and then told Cyrus what she did to hurt him. When Cassie later confessed the truth to Josh, she was crushed when he walked out, not knowing if it was for good. With Grady resolved to stay in town, Daisy took him to Frank to confess. Ashlee broke up with Coop after misreading the situation of finding Blake in his bed. Ava visited Remy’s new place, saying Bill doesn’t need to know. Jeffrey saw Bill -- still obviously in love with Lizzie -- kissing her goodbye. Coming: It may not be over for Lizzie and Bill, but there’s not much time left.

MVP: Connie broke up with Gabe after he got Damon off the hook from assault charges. Trevor moved into the lush condo formerly owned by the team’s late captain. Molly McBride retrieved the “gold key” left to her by her father, and set her sights on Trevor, while Adam’s widow Evelyn had to make ends meet by working at a gas station convenience store. Coming: Two women in his life add up to trouble for Trevor.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Jessica lashed out at Natalie and Jared at Nash’s funeral, accusing them of having his blood on their hands. Afterward, Jessica’s grief brought out her dark side. Tina managed to elude Jonas but he took Sarah and Talia hostage. Cole consulted Nora about his legal rights if he sues Starr for custody. Despite Marcie’s turndown, Starr still wanted to give her the baby. Todd claimed to Marty that John left her to die in the accident that’s left her the way she is. Blair was taken by surprise when she was served with divorce papers. Bo surprised Lindsay with a marriage proposal, which she accepted. Coming: Tess is bent on revenge.

PASSIONS: Gwen and Rebecca figured out that Theresa is alive and disguised as Gertrude. Unaware that the women know her secret, Theresa walked in on them -- and Ethan. Upset at not being able to disfigure Fancy when her acid attack failed to connect, Pretty tried to blame Sheridan, who in turn revealed Pretty’s secret. Tabitha offered three wishes to Esme to help her find Endora so they can flee Harmony. Coming: Gwen wants Theresa out of the picture on her wedding day.

YOUNG AND RESTLESS: Victor and Sabrina were wed. Adam and Victoria prevented Zara from obtaining unauthorized photos of the nuptials and forced her out of town. After walking out on Nikki, David returned and begged for another chance, but Nikki insisted his sobriety is more important than her. Jeff ended things with Jill after admitting he slept with Gloria, later surprising Gloria with a marriage proposal. As David set up a meeting with Walter in Las Vegas, Gloria and Jeff decided to elope there. On learning from Paul that Lowell has a new name and is wanted for murder, Michael decided to stop looking for his father. Devon’s aunt Tyra and cousin Ana arrived in town, needing help. Coming: With Lily away working, Chloe schemes to snag Cane.
