The F.M. Kirby Center announced today that comedian, actor and author Jim Breuer will visit the downtown Wilkes-Barre theater, 71 Public Square, at 8 p.m. Feb. 24.

Breuer’s high-energy stage performance, razor-sharp impressions and family-friendly routine make him one of the most well known comedians in the stand-up circuit. He’s been named one of Comedy Central’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time, and is recognized for his stage work as well as his tenure on “Saturday Night Live” and roles in films like “Half Baked.”

He recently released his debut metal album, “Songs From The Garage,” with his new band, Jim Breuer and The Loud & Rowdy.

Tickets range from $25 to $49 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100. A pre-sale for Kirby members begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
