Susan Sarandon, Anne Hathaway, Sting, Fergie, Annette Bening, Danny Glover, Hayden Panettiere, Alfre Woodard, Ellen Burstyn, Spike Lee, Zooey Deschanel, Elvis Costello, David Crosby and Maura Tierney are among the celebrities featured in “Poliwood,” a 90-minute documentary airing tonight at 7:30 on Showtime.
Director Barry Levinson explores the modern connection between Hollywood and politics. He followed the celebrities through last year’s Democratic and Republican conventions and the hoopla surrounding them, then up to inauguration weekend. “What this evolved into is what I look at as the intersection of politics, celebrity and media,” he said.
Morena Baccarin stars in “V,” a remake of the 1983 aliens-invading-Earth miniseries, 8 p.m. Tuesday on ABC.
“By the People: The Election of Barack
Obama” airs 9 p.m. Tuesday on HBO.
“Kathy Griffin: Balls of Steel” airs 9 p.m.
Tuesday on Bravo.
Wanda Sykes gets her own show, which
premieres 1 1 p.m. Saturday on Fox.
