Perkins Restaurant & Bakery announced that 14 of its Northeast Pa. locations will be holding a Free Pancake Day on President’s Day, Feb. 15, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., to benefit Give Kids The World.
On Monday, Feb. 15, guests dining at participating locations can enjoy a free short stack of Perkins famous Buttermilk Pancakes. “All we ask is that our guests consider making a donation to Give Kids The World, a terrific, 70-acre non-profit resort that creates magical memories for children with life threatening illnesses, and their families,” said Jerry Claringbole, Vice President, Area Operations. Claringbole added, “As leaders in the restaurant industry, we’re proud to be serving our guests, while also working to raise money to support Give Kids The World.”
Locations include: Scranton, 1130 Ravine Street, Scranton, 570.963.1115; Pittston, 304 Route 315;570.883.5682; Tunkhannock, 615 State Road 6E, 570.996.0157; Wilkes -Barre, 1085 Wilkes -Barre Township, 570.823.7264; Hazleton, 50 State Route 93, 570.445.0313 and locations in Mount Pocono, Bloomsburg, East Stroudsburg, Stroudsburg, Williamsport, Danville, Lewisburg, Selinsgrove and Mill Hall.
Continuing a tradition that began in 1990, the Feb. 15 Free Pancake Day provides an opportunity for participating Perkins restaurants to support Give Kids The World.
Perkins also operates the Gingerbread House, a 300-seat restaurant located in the heart of Give Kids The World Village, where over 3.5 million free meals have been served over the years.
Pamela Landwirth, President of Give Kids The World said, “One of the many blessings I cherish most from my involvement with Give Kids The World is being able to work with caring individuals like those in the Perkins family. Through their generosity, they have touched the lives of thousands of children, leaving an indelible footprint on their hearts.”
