Police probe standoff, but offer few details

MOCANAQUA – State police say they are investigating a standoff that occurred near Columbia County Friday afternoon.

A special emergency response team responded to St. Mary’s Park to try to negotiate with a man who had a gun, according to local news broadcast reports.

State police at Wyoming are investigating. It was not immediately known if anyone was hurt.

No further information has been released.
