More than 800 cheerleaders and dancers f

More than 800 cheerleaders and dancers from dozens of East Coast colleges and universities visited The University of Scranton from August 10 to 13 for a national collegiate cheer and dance camp.

Scranton hosted the four-day Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Universal Dance Association (UDA) College Spirit Camp, an opportunity for cheerleading squads, dance teams and mascots to learn new techniques and routines.

Among the schools participating were Georgetown, Syracuse, the University of Delaware, the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova.
