Melanie Palko scored a game-high 12 points to lead a balanced scoring attack as Hazleton Area beat William Tennent, 49-25, in the championship game of the Punxsutawney Holiday Tournament.
Alyssa Flanagan and Brianna Dudeck each scored 10 points for the winners. Flanagan was named the tournament MVP and was joined on the all-tournament team by teammates Palko and Madelyn Ludwig.
Hazleton Area will play state-ranked Bethlehem Liberty in the Pottsville Showcase Shootout at 2 p.m. Saturday at Martz Hall in Pottsville.
