I'm not sure what to think. If it is all just a joke for ratings THAT SUCKS. I have a 4 year old son & an 8 year old daughter that watch wrestling with me because I explained it is fake. After they saw RAW & ECW I don't know if I will let them watch anymore. They were crying cause "Vince got blown up". Awful thing to do with young viewers watching!!!

This is ridiculous, I would think a smart man like Vince would not pull a terrible stunt like this. I mean wrestlers have really died, and fans get upset and truely mourn, something like death is not a joke, and WWE will lose many fans because of this, my family and I have already decided NOT to watch or give these people anymore money, and many of my friends agree and are doing the same thing. I hope now Vince goes bankrupt and that the show is eventually cancelled. I love wrestling but this is just NOT RIGHT!

You shouldnt let these people watch wrestling show... after each commercial break there is a black screen with a message: WARNING ''The following program may contain mature themes and violence that maybe unsuitable for some viewers. Viewer dicretion is advised.'' Mature themes and violence... is not for kids nor epilectic. Parents and family who let those people watch should be the ones charged... NOT WWE... Before watching anything else on tv.. ask yourself if it is correct to let your kid watch... and dont blame others for YOUR action...

I have to admit this was a shocker to me and researched all the newa, I felt bad and to find out iwas just a hoax is disgusting though wrestling is so fake any way , but to play on people emotions like that is cruel. Though I know it is phoney I wish we would get better wrestling to watch when vince's father was a live. My day was upset as i truly believed this to be true , and trying to find out the truth I have been a fan for many years but this was the last straw as playing on a persons emotions is very upseting publicity or not, as there is to much in the world already.

Being a wrestler myself and watching WWE and TNA on a regular basis, I was shocked at what Vince pulled. Given it was original, though cruel, the silence after the explosion is what set it off as "fake" JR and King both would have been saying something, just like they did when Owen fell. And you would think that the two guys sitting by the door would have run to the rescue. I think Vince has just run out of ideas thats what happens when you run a wrestling monopoly, this is only the second worse thing that he's ever done; the first: buying out WCW.

As a devoted wretling fan since 1966, I think Mr.McMahon has tried something and it back fired on him. People with ant smarts know how to check these things out. I believe his words now will always be questioned. There were other ways to add story lines. I won't stop watching but I think he may have hurt his company rather than helped it!

That was just a horrible stunt, and if he really did die, do you think a camera guy would just stand there, and those two guys by the door would do something? And before he went outside, he walked past all those wrestlers, at least 50, and if a car bomb just happened outside, wouldn't one of them here and go outside? That stunt was just bad and mcmahon lost all of my respect. I just can't wait untill he has to come clean to all the wwe fans on RAW. That's gonna be funny.

Why are people calling this a "Hoax" or a "Joke" ? It is neiter, it was a well planed out profesionaly exacuted stunt that was filmed over several days and was under teh control of the wilkes-barre township supervisor who gave the WWE the permits to do this. I think the people who are calling this a "joke" or a "hoax" should get in trouble for reporting false claims as fact.

The family needs to issue a statement alright, saying that Vince is alive and its a big mistake to play with "exploding deaths" becuase now if something should happen to Vinnie Mac, nobody is going to buy it.

For the parents that are letting your young children watch wrestling that late at night: Why are your kids up that late? You're freaking out over Vince being blown up in a car because your young kids are watching and now you need to explain to them what's really going on? HELLO???? The WWE is for MATURE audiences!!!! I personally think 2 things.. ratings and maybe he is going on some needed time off like vacation. If that is the case this was not the way to do it. I am a fan and I like some of the "skits" they preform backstage, but this is tasteless. Death isnt something to joke or laugh about or even pretend. I Have been watching wwe since I was 18 years old.I never seen anything like on Monday Night on Raw.Vince is a very smart man and he kmows how to bring poeple in to watching and going to a live event.Look at the HHH and Stone Cold when Stone Cold lefted HHH car off the ground with a forklift and dumped upside down he his head.Vince is very much alive and is taking a break for now he will be back and back up to his tricks by the next ppv in 2 weeks.

McMahon has done some crazy things in the past for ratings. I do have to admit I was…thrown weather to believe it or not. Then I remembered all the times he has pulled pranks before. Though he stepped over the line this time. Instead of getting the fans to realize how important he is and for them to appreciate him, when they all see that it was just a hoax he is going to be more than unappreciated. I mean look how they reacted last night on ECW during the moment of silence “in memory” of him, the audience booed. When he finally decides to show his face what does he think is going to happen, that he is going to be cheered for living through “the bombing”. Is he going to show up with Owen Hart by his side? As I said before he has completely crossed the line with this one. I think his career is going to suffer greatly.

look at the evidence they said the limo was staged and actually fired on sundaynight. ok.. lets check that. no 2 fires burn alike if you look at the limo there is no 2nd burn. the door being shut was the trigger for the explosion. how do i know? well, i am in foresics and can tell you the bomb was centered on the back right quuarter panel..in this day and age this kind of stunt isn't something to joke about...

What happens inside the arena is truly a show and that's entertaining, but taking it outside and bringing in emergency crews made the kids think that it has to be real...most of us know that all of this was a publicity stunt done in poor taste...but what about our children! Some of these ppl are really cracking me up believing he's really dead. If any of u paid any attention to the camera, u would have known sumthin was about 2 happen the way it was zooming out to show the whole limo, usually when someone is getting in a limo they zoom in. This isn't any different from when Triple H was trapped in a car that Austin lifted over 50 feet in the air with a crane and dropped to the ground or Randy Orton setting the casket on fire when he had The Undertaker locked in it. It's all staged ppl. I'm looking forward to the seeing how this plays out in the end.

I have been watching wrestling since i born. I was watching wrestling in the womb! When i saw Monday Night Raw i kept saying "you should appreciate Mr. McMahon because if it wasnt for him you wouldnt be at the Wachovia Arena watching the WWE Superstars." When the explosion happened i was shocked. I kept watching it to make sure i saw it correctly. Well, i told my dad he (McMahon) had died right on film because ECW did a tribute and so did Smackdown. But my father told me he didnt because it wasnt in our local paper. The comment about Eddie really being dead or not made me thing. Although he really is because it was in my local paper. I am so upset with the WWE story writers because death is serious. And i felt like crying and i told people McMahon died. They made me feel like a cheap fool and i dont appreciate that. I will still watch WWE because i love the company and all of the people in it.

This was a hoax I was with two of my friends and we saw them blow up the limo Sunday night around 1:30 in the morning behind the arena and no one was in it. Before they blew it up they taped McMahon getting into it then he left before they blew it up. the fire trucks were already there. Then Monday the set another limo on fire to make it look real for people comming out of the arena.

Okay, I really dont understand how anyone can be suprised or shocked. First off, McMahon wanted a way to get off of Raw and TV in general, and in the wrestling business the only way out is death, example look at Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair very past their prime and still wrestling. McMahon once had a wrestling match and a feud with GOD and that didnt cause nearly as much ruckus as this did. Come on people pull your heads out of your asses and if you dont like what was aired then dont watch big deal. Hell most wrestling fans, unless your a Cena fan, should know that having Vince on TV is bad. The only time it ever worked was during the Austin vs. Vince feud!

Vince such an evil genius with all of his acting. I gotta say everything from the "shocking news" at WWE.com to the footage tape doesn't make any sense of all. It's really hard to believe like only about 5-7 minutes after the explosion was shown, they already launch the whole detail story about it on the site. Still, all these tricks Vince pulled really get everyone attention.

Vince McMahon, for as long as I have been watching wrestling, was always a respective, consummate businessman ... though his wrestling persona may say otherwise. I've seen some awkward things in my time as a diehard WWE fan, but I have never witnessed anything as idiotic as this article. It just proves to me, not to mention the WWE faithful, how far some may fall to acquire ratings. Vincent Kennedy McMahon should be ashamed of himself; He is one of the richest, most powerful men in American history. He took his father's company and turned in into a worldwide, billion-dolar, international conglamorate. He has money, he has power ... but above and beyond all that, he has no excuse for pulling such a fast one on us, the WWE faithful. I looked up to Vince as a role model, and at one point, I wanted to become a part of WWE. However, this just proved to me just how low some would stoop to in order to recieve higher ratings.

I attended a WWE event on 6/12/07 with a friend and our children both under ten yrs old. They had all the wrestlers come out at the beginning of the show and had a moment of silence and the ringing of the bell. Our kids became very upset and it put a damper on the whole event. I'm sure we will find out shortly that this was all a hoax but it really wrecked what was supposed to be a fun night out with our sons.

It was all to coincidental. Vince is just grasping now. I am from Kentucky and I lost two dear friends when the volks wagon they were in was hit and caught fire. The firemen didnt just aim the hose at the doors like these did, and they used a foam like substance to put out the blaze. And the firemen here don't wear air masks when putting out a car fire. And isnt impersonating an FBI agent against the law? wonder if he will get jail time for faking his death? To me personally, this goes beyond entertainment,but I guess that's showbiz.

If any of this is true, condolences to his family - I just recently lost a loved one, it is one of the most difficult times in a life, however if it is all fake; pretending to die is no joke. Death is not a laughing matter. It is a totally insensitive thing to do. What about the kids? They believe it all, and having to explain to them why a grown-up would do such a thing. Thank you for posting this story. I had stepped out of the room but my son was still watching when the limo exploded. Mr. McMahon was not someone he liked but at the same time seeing something like that bothered him very much. We all watch wrestling together and even though we know that things are not always as they seem I think they went overboard with this stunt. If it is true then my prayers go out to the family. If it is as you have said "a stunt" then what they have done is not a good thing. It is not the same as in a movie or cartoon and may have some troubled kids, teens, or even adults thinking that someone can blow up something and the person just walk away because some people do take this wrestling stuff very seriously. I just do not understand why they gear something to kids with all the toys, games and such then do something like this. But thank you for your story, it helped ease my son's mind and that of his friends.

I don't think what McMahon did on Raw last monday night is a good idea. this is a family show that is watched by young kids and up to an adult hood and for McMahon to pull this stunt is very bad. it's bad enough that some young kids are doing bad thing as it is and now they see what McMahon did and that will gives them an ok to do those kind of things and for them it's ok and fun. I think the stunt was in bad taste, however I can't help but be curious on why WWE would go to such extremes. Is Mr. McMahon in poor health, trying to get out of the business, etc.? I've watched WWE's shows for years, and I have only seen the "supposed death" act a few times. The time where Shane Mcmahon kicked Kane into the dumpster that was filled with gas and on fire. Yet Kane survived and appeared on the show the following week with a few bandages on him. Then the time where Stone Cold lifted Triple H up high in his car and turned it over letting Triple H fall in his upside down car over 40 feet. Normally that would have seriously injured someone or possibly killed them. But Mr. Mcmahons stunt with the limo was unexpected and entertaining. We have seen him over the last few months fued with various people and groups such as DX, and now it's just one of those moments where a character can leave the story for a little while; while bringing attention to the WWE company. Great drama, but not real life.

Your not going to loose a fan here. I realize that this is entertainment and although I believed it was real at first I do not think that any of the wwe staff did this skit to offend anyone. People you need to get over it, no one needs to have any charges pressed against them for this matter. You nor your children were forced to watch the show. So go on with your merry lives and stop trying to think of things to do to the wwe (such as press charges)so no one else can enjoy the show. Plus think of how many wrestlers that will lose their jobs. So anyway, I will be watching wwe Raw, ECW and Smackdown still and if someone doesn't like it then tuff, you don't have to watch it.

Hey Vince, I know you need ratings but to sit there and fake your death is really bad, granted yes, it is a TV show but for one, I honestly don't like seeing people die at all, I've lost my mother and grandmother to illness within two years and I for one even though you can be a butthole at times here, would feel just as bad if you died or for example, your son Shane had died or even stephanie, hell, I felt real bad when Eddie died or Curt Henning died or Ms Elizabeth died, yeah it is a TV show but my god, death is not something to make light of, man, if you have to do that, then you do need some serious help, there is a better way to get ratings than that, guaranteed!

Mr McMahon is dead - Vince McMahon is alive. Do people belive wrestling is real? Fact is - vince wanted to go off the air for a while to work back stage - do some research. Yeh, the tv camera is really going to film the explosion. IF that did happen for real - we would not have seen it as the show is ALWAYS on a "tape delay" of around 1 min from being "live" to edit out swearing, AND to not have the owen hart situ happen again if it did.

Can i ask - how many times, on a soap - have you seen a charator being "killed" in a car crash or fire or something. Are they sick? even although they are only ACTING like vince does. Vince McMahon is brilliant for this. He really knows how to put something good on tv. And he killed off his character on WWE television. That is not something normal for professional wrestling so it was defiantly groundbreaking. It was a whole lot better than the Sopranos "whack" job. At least Vince went out in a bang, and he wasn't parking a car while someone was shot. Vince is awesome and I would like to thank him for putting this little plot twist on WWE television. I can't wait to see what McMahon has up his sleeve next.

You know when Vince wrote his own shows they were really decent and I liked to watch them, but since he hired these writers for the show it really sucks now. They already know every move before it happens, and every death before the accident even happens get a life and write it yourself. No one likes to think that you died one day and are back the next, at least when you fake an injury you can recover soon but you can't just come back to life after they show you dying on supposed live tv.

I have to admit that this had to be one of the most STUPIDIST of ideas that Vince or whomever could have come up with even for tv ratings. Faking your own death even for tv should be punishable by law and that Vince as well as anybody else that was involved in this stunt should be punished to the fullist extent of the law and pay a hefty fine. Death is no laughing matter. Hey Vinny Mac, take that corn cob outta your a** and get some class. TNA is looking better every week, at least they have some of the good wrestlers that you thought weren't good enough for your story lines.

I have seen some stunts in my day but this is the most sickening act of all.Where are the good ole days of just good vs evil.Mr Wrestling 2 vs Ole Anderson. That was entertainment. In 40 years of following the WWE and its competitors, I've seen how Vince McMahon turned from a ringside announcer -- originally put behind the announcer's table by his late father, Vince McMahon, Sr. -- to the seemingly demented billionaire chairman who ruled the corporation with an iron fist. And I've seen plenty of storylines played out that proved to be just plain dumb. But never in my four decades of following this soap opera have I seen a storyline this outrageous. If Vince McMahon wanted to permanently take himself off WWE television, he could have done it in more creative ways than having his "Mr. McMahon" TV character killed off. Or, he could have simply announced his retirement.

We all know that Vince didn't die...there's no darn body...explain that without pyrotechnics and splicing together the explosion. One thing I do think is really sad, there is a small blurb on the WWE website about the death of Sensational "Sister/Scary" Sherri. Call her what you wish, but she made a lot of the wrestlers today, with Shawn Michaels and Booker T, but there's not too much there, just more on the spectacle. Let it rest. McMahon just needs another boost in ratings.

He is very much alive! Vince has in the past pulled some very contreversial gimmicks in the past, such as having his daughter sacrificed by the Undertaker on TV. Vine has been known to push the envelope as far as possible in the past with such acts as poop, blood, and vomit being dumpped on Superstars, This stunt has alot of fans upset at how far he will go, and I fear that once this is exposed as a fake, his fan base will start to watch TNA and other wrestling brands. Vince has done ALOT for the wrestling business since taking WWE over, but I fear this stunt could bite him in the A**!

Well the whole thing being videotaped tells it all..it is fake ! If you think it was real do you think that they would release it to the public? They didnt release the Owen Hsrt footage to the public.If it were real, when the explosion took place the camera man would have flinched from the explosion but instead he zoomes out so it can all be seen..GET A CLUE PEOPLE !! I am not surprised if the ratngs go way down and he will have to cancel some shows in other cities..especially where the incident took place.

First off I would like to say that Eddie's name should not be tarnished. He was going up. He got off the drugs and alcohol. He had a heart attack and died. How many times has Marlana died and come back on days of our lives. Come on people this is entertainment and it is to be taken as that only. If he wants to portray himself as dead then who is to stop him. Get over it. If he was truly dead it would be all over the news everywhere. I don't know why anyone would put Vince's supposed death and Eddie's real death in the same darn category...Did you check the WWE website about Eddie, or how about TV.com??? You know the Smackdown right after Eddie died he was supposed to get the the US/World Title. There was no saving face about his death. The poor man lost a battle with life, leave him out of it. Vince on the other hand needs to realize that he's doing just what Shane and Stephanie did to ECW and WCW, it's been going down the toilet. He lost a lot of his top of line the athletes, especially in the last year, with Rey, Triple H, and Shawn all getting hurt, let alone when The Rock and Stone Cold left. I swear if Eric Bischoff ends up showing up, this "business" is over for me. Please just don't compare two people who have absolutely nothing in common when it comes to how they "went out".

Vince is too popular to be killed in a limo bomb and CNN is not carring the news, that would tell you that its one of their usual trick where you see John Cena lifting Great Khali or Calitos beating Mike Henry. If the explosion was real and Mr. McMahon was really dead, they wouldn't be showing the video over and over, and Stephanie McMahon would have been a basket case at teh beginning of Smackdown Friday night. What I found as proof was as they replayed the scene over and over and over, as Vince was leaving the building the door from the inside was bigger than it was from the outside, and it was a single door from the inside and double from the outside. I knew it was Bull.... from that point on, even on Monday.

It's unbelievable to me that McMahon and WWE can even assume that anyone over the age of twelve would assume that Vince McMahon actually died in an explosion that was perfectly caught on tape by a professional camera man who did not even flinch when the "explosion" happened. This just shows me that wrestling is nothing like what it used to be when you actually believed that Ric Flair and the Horsemen destroyed Dusty Rhodes' leg because he wore a cast for six months and newspapers didn't report on the fact that the leg wasn't really broken. I hope that WWE is proud of the fact that they have caused for any illusion of reality that pro-wrestling still had is now officially gone forever.

They say things like the he is "presumed" dead, or "may" have perished, stuff along those lines! The reason they're doing this is that this leaves everybody with a small window of hope that somehow he "miraculously" survived! They can't kill off Mr McMahon, because that would also kill of Vince McMahon now wouldn't it! Here's the clincher. The limo explosion was taped on Saturday night, yet Vince appeared live on Raw Monday night! I don't know if anyone else noticed, but he looked very much alive to me!

I personally think this was done in poor taste. It would be one thing to have done this Sunday and then come Monday night the website Admits "just kidding, its all a part of the story line" .. but thats not what happened. As far as I know, the WWE website *still* acts as if it "really happened". I think this is going to cost WWE a lot of ratings rather than their intent of boosting them. After 9-11 and various people in work places going postal, campus shootings, etc... in TODAYS world it would seem logical enough that an intelligent but psychopathic fan / disgruntled worker could have found a means to "really do it". So yeah, this hoax was in extremely poor taste.

There's no way that this stunt/angle/storyline is going to do anything to the shows ratings other than make them go up. There's more interest now in Monday Night Raw than there had been in years. Because all the wrestlers from all the brands were there, they are all suspects, so every show can be pushed as the possible home of the assailant. I wonder if the people who complained about this being in bad taste ever watched a movie where there was a bombing or an explosion or a murder on screen. This is no different. Vince McMahon's character "Mr. McMahon" is presumed dead. Nowhere does it say Vince McMahon. I think anyone who thought that was legit probably shouldn't be watching in the first place. And if your kids are too young to know that that was a part of a TV show (Nine or 10) they are too young to be watching the programming anyway.

No one cared when a wrestler broke the bungee on his entrance and fell to his death, and that that was covered up. But a fake death? Blasphemy! Hahaha. This is TV. I don't hear anyone crying about how Micky Mouse gets hit by a truck and doesn't die. Or how Soap Operas off thier cast members. That's what this is. It's a publicity stunt that's been done for years. In 6-12 mnths, he'll come back all bandaged and in a wheel chair and try to make a speech or something. Another place I looked http://keralaarticles.blogspot.com/2007/06/vince-mcmahon-death.html Seemed to sum this up perfectly by saying that it is a "Kayfabe" or a plot twist involving the character, but not the actor. Like Melanie K Mallory said, "if he died it would've been on radio and news just like Eddie G", but it would have been bigger since it would have been considered a "Murder" or in this common day and age some sort of terrorism based crime.

The absolute truth is that McMahon never finished high school. Furthermore, he was a special ed student who couldn't or wouldn't learn. When he was GIVEN the business by his father, he accidentally discovered that the more ridiculous he makes wrestling the more tickets he sells. I always like to watch the wresslin on the tv. Them guys just tare each other up. I done watch the other night when they blowed up his car, and that was wild. Reminded me of when DAle Earnhardt (RIP) crashed down there a while ago. My hart gos out to all of them people in the WWE family like Steephanie. Its reel tough when your dad dies and they still have to keep wrasslin cause they already got the dates set and they sold the tickets and they are going to be real sad and it might be hard for them to wrassle as good. You mite see some suprises and people you wood not expects to win will win and everything will be different. I dont care what all the other people say because they dont know what they talking about but I will always miss Vince every day and when I get up in the morning and fix up some bacon I will think about him and say a prayer for him and tell Jesus to tell him I said hi.

I can't believe that the WWE is hurting this bad for rating that they would stoop this low. I have been loyal to the WWE since I was a child and I have never seen them go this low. I agree with the comments in your paper this is a disgrace to all the wrestlers in the past that have passed away, especially Owen Hart who passed away in the ring. I think the WWE could have come up with a better stunt than this.

This stunt and storyline has evoked probably every possible human emotion from people! Some are outraged, some are offended, some think it's cool, some don't know what to think, some are absolutely convinced that Vinnie Mac blew up along with the limo! Some say this story line insults our intelligence! People, WAKE UP! Wrestling storylines have been insulting our intelligence for years! That's why every wrestling storyline should be taken with a grain of salt! This storyline has done exactly what WWE intented it to do! Personally, I think it's genious!

I was a big fan of WWE until this hoax. I think that it was uncool. With all the car bombs that the kids see on tv killing our soliders, then they watch this and see vince blown up it cause confuson for them. I am glad that my kids did not see this show. I didnt think the guy was dead. That was a mean hoax. I watch WWE every Mon and Fri night, and when Steph came out with her sob story of how she misses her daddy, I knew it was a hoax. You can tell by the limo that hes not dead. He was never even in the limo. I dunno who was, but it wasnt him. I think that things with the WWE were getting out of hand for him and he wants to be in the background more than on the scene. The thing at Wrestle- mania drove him down hill yes, but it wasnt him in the limo.

yo if vince mcmahon was really dead then you would have a corspe in the limo no matter what how hot the fire was u would still have a body in it, and when he went into the limo he put his leg out of it then back in it then another leg you could see went out so while the other leg went out of the limo vince walked out of the other side of the limo out of the door so he got out perfectly safe.

From the begining I totally questioned it. If it really did happen everybody would be at the FBI office, and not on TV wrestling, even the corporate head quarters would have been taped of possibly. That is my opinion. I think they went a bit to far this time. But it is the entertainment industry, they got the effect they wanted and it did work for a bit.

Vince Mcmahon will still be rich, i am sure he has invested his money over the years, he owned wwe, anyone rich invest there money who is rich, thats not the way to fake a death, of a limo explosion at the end of monday night raw. people do have emotional feelings, when someone died's, there should be a charge against vince mcmahon if he pulled this stunt on the limo explosion.

I will not watch it anymore. Vince McMahnon is a very sick to man to have done such a thing. Then I read the Chris Benoit and his family were murdered. That is very sad. Very little thought and planning was worked out ahead of time (just like the Iraq Invasion). Its understandable that wrestling attracts the population low on the ladder of lifes expectations who believe this non-sport non-talent required theatrical show exhibits, but little kids out there watch this show and were horrified. Goes to show how easy people get sucked in by these tricks. It is a ratings thing and WWE is all about entertainment not real fights, but saying that I must say the are all very fit and supple atheletes(stuntmen & woman). Good at what they do. But faking death this is a very low way to try and up your ratings, get it together Vince sure you can come up something better.

I was told ten billion times wrestling is fake and i know that but come on people he is not dead but he would still be playing along if Benoit didnt kill himself for real a week later!
