WILKES-BARRE – Michael Sanchez, 43, of Fairview Park in Mountain Top, pleaded guilty Friday to firing a gun at his wife.
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Conahan will sentence Sanchez on charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threats in September.
Fairview Township police said Sanchez in February threatened to kill his wife and then fired a bullet past her head.
WILKES-BARRE – Darnell Dixon, 23, of Centre Street in Freeland, was sentenced Friday to 18 to 36 months in state prison on a drug charge.
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark Ciavarella sentenced Dixon on a single count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
Freeland police said Dixon in July 2005 was carrying more than nine ounces of marijuana in a backpack in Freeland Village.
WILKES-BARRE – Scott Vermac, 25, of Main Street in Avoca, was sentenced Friday to 18 to 36 months in state prison on a drug charge.
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark Ciavarella sentenced Vermac on a single count of delivery of a controlled substance.
Avoca police said Vermac in April 2006 sold morphine tablets to a confidential informant on York Avenue.
WILKES-BARRE – John Schilling, 35, of Sheridan Street in Wilkes-Barre, was sentenced Friday to 34 to 156 months in state prison in two cases.
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Mark Ciavarella sentenced Schilling on a burglary charge in one case and accidents involving damage in the second case.
In the burglary case, Wilkes-Barre police said Schilling in October broke into St. Mary’s of the Maternity on Park Avenue.
WILKES-BARRE – Jeremy Cool, 18, of Vaughn Street in Luzerne, was sentenced Friday to one to two years in state prison for breaking into a home.
Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Hugh Mundy sentenced Cool on a charge of burglary. Cool received no additional time in three other cases.
State police at Wyoming said Cool and another man in July broke into a home on McAndrew Street in Pringle and stole guns.
WILKES-BARRE – Luzerne County Judge Chester Muroski, presiding in Orphan’s Court, jailed six people and issued arrest warrants for 15 people for their failure to pay child support. A total of 54 cases were heard on Thursday.
