BUTLER TWP. – Township police reported these incidents:
• Sally A. Arndt, 40, of Hazleton, was arrested on evidence of drunken driving after a crash near North Hunter Highway and St. John’s Road on Saturday morning, police said.
Police said Arndt failed a series of field sobriety tests and was taken for a blood alcohol test.
• Police said a 25-year-old Drums woman reported someone used her debit card and made more than $1,300 in unauthorized purchases.
• Police said a Harleigh woman faces a traffic citation after a crash on North Hunter Highway on Friday.
Jessica L. Crowley, 21, was northbound on the highway when she lost control of her vehicle that struck a culvert at about 1:30 a.m., police said. Police said Crowley was cited with speeding and operating a vehicle that was not inspected.
Crowley and a passenger, Gina Bove, 21, of Drums, refused medical treatment, police said.
• Police found a man at a Conyngham business after an hours-long search in extreme cold temperatures early Sunday morning.
Matthew Storaska, 25, of McAdoo, had left a friend’s house after an argument around 12:30 a.m. He ran into the woods when a citizen offered to help him, police said.
Police said friends and family became concerned because of the cold temperatures and started a search.
Storaska was intoxicated when he was found at the Conyngham business, police said. Police said Storaska was cited with public drunkenness.
WILKES-BARRE TWP. – Township police reported the following incidents:
• A 13-year-old female from Wilkes-Barre faces a retail theft charge after she exited the JC Penney store at the Wyoming Valley Mall without paying for $15 in merchandise on Friday, police said. Arresting officer was John Owens.
• David Standarowski, 23, of Edwardsville, faces possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal trespass charges after he was found with a syringe at the Turkey Hill, Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard, on Friday, police said. Arresting officer was Jason Mozdziock.
• A 14-year-old female from Mountain Top faces a retail theft charge after she was spotted leaving the JC Penney store at the Wyoming Valley Mall without paying for $30 in merchandise on Saturday, police said. Arresting officer was Justin Graham.
• James Oko, 26, of White Haven, faces a criminal trespass charge after he was seen at the Turkey Hill, Wilkes-Barre Township Boulevard, after being told to stay out of the business on Sunday, police said. Arresting officer was Michael Amditis.
• Township police said 11 people will be cited with underage drinking and a 22-year-old man faces a citation of furnishing alcohol to minors after a party at a Center Street residence on Saturday.
Police said Michael Sisko, 22, of Wilkes-Barre Township, faces a charge of supplying alcohol to minors.
Those cited with underage drinking were Melanie Kopeck, 19, and Joel Bonn, 20, both of Bear Creek; Frank Bozek, 20, of Drums; Nicholas Alexander, 19, Stephen Chapasko, 20, Tara Kratz, 19, and Derek Lucarino, 19, all of Wilkes-Barre; Anthony Woznicki, 19, Hayley Suda, 19, John Shara, 19, and Autumn Ashford, 20, all of Wilkes-Barre Township, police said.
WILKES-BARRE – City police reported these incidents:
• Melissa Rossier, of Rees Street, reported a woman bumped her with a car after an argument in the vicinity of 118 Rees St. on Sunday.
• Mara R. Apostolou, 28, of Quakertown, faces a harassment charge after police said she assaulted a woman on South Main Street on Sunday.
NANTICOKE – City police reported the following incidents:
• Robert Sabol, of East Union Street, reported Friday that someone stole a stroller, 20 compact discs and a wallet from his car while it was parked near his home.
• Michelle Faux, of Enterprise Street, reported someone stole a GPS unit from her husband’s car while it was parked near their home on Friday.
• Shirley Levandowski, of West Union Street, reported someone stole a money bag with coupons, a hand tool and money from her car while it was parked near her home on Saturday.
• Frank Marshallick, of West Washington Street, reported someone damaged his car with a paint gun on Sunday.
