The ShickshinnyForward Fund of the Luzerne Foundation recently gave a check for $2,000 to Mrs. Pennsylvania, Kimberly McLendon, for her chosen charity, Blessings in a Backpack. Blessings in a Backpack ensures impoverished elementary school children are fed on the weekends throughout the school year. This grant was made possible through the work of Shickshinny resident, Clarence Lewis.
