(AP) A Syrian opposition group says at least 22 people have been killed and dozens wounded in successive blasts caused by explosions at a weapons depot in central Syria.
The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says the explosions Thursday in regime-held districts of Homs occurred after rebels targeted the area with rocket attacks.
The explosions also caused widespread destruction in the area.
The explosions in Homs coincided with a rare trip Thursday by President Bashar Assad to a former rebel bastion near the capital, Damascus, to mark Army Day.
