HAZLETON, Pa. (AP) — A fire at a pet food plant in northeastern Pennsylvania has destroyed a pickup truck and damaged a train bay. No one was hurt.
Hazle Township fire Chief Scott Kostician says it happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday as the truck was trying to pull a train car in the train bay at Vita Line Products Inc. He says the truck experienced some sort of mechanical problem and caught fire near the shipping and receiving department.
He says employees tried to put out the fire, but weren’t able to do so. Firefighters eventually extinguished the blaze.
The truck was destroyed.
