Local Government Academy for the Luzerne and Lackawanna Region presents at Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce hosted Susan Hockenberry, Executive Director of Local Government Academy for the Luzerne and Lackawanna Region, as she presented information on the Academy, March 1.

The presentation was open to all Chamber members. Attendees were able to learn more about this non-partisan, non-profit organization which promotes excellence in local government through different programs and courses used to educate its members. The presentation included information on the funding of these programs, the importance of educating newly elected officials in addition to members of the public interested in a career in politics, and the importance of collaboration to promote synergy in local government.
