Police uncover large marijuana cache in Forty Fort

FORTY FORT- Police investigating a domestic dispute discovered a large amount of marijuana inside a house on Ransom Street late Sunday night.

Police were called to 25 Ransom St. on reports a woman was screaming just before midnight.

Officer Peter Lakkis said he entered the house and detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana and spotted packaged bags on a table.

A search warrant was served on the house overnight leading to the discovery of three pounds of marijuana, nearly $6,000, four nitrous oxide tanks and a bong, according to the search warrant affidavit.

Lauren Ann McDermott, 30, and William Clarke, 27, were charged Monday morning on drug offenses. Police said they are facing additional charges.
