MOHNTON, Pa. (AP) — Officials say a body has been recovered from an eastern Pennsylvania river.

Berks County emergency dispatchers said the body was reported in the Schuylkill River near Route 724 in the area of Poplar Neck at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

Officials said a water rescue crew had difficulty launching a boat to recover the body due to the terrain and obstructions in the river.

The body was pulled from the river at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday and the coroner called to the scene. No information was immediately released about the person or the circumstances involved.
