Clear skies, warmer temperatures expected Thursday before chance of rain returns

WILKES-BARRE — Expect Thursday to be the last day without the chance for rain for at least the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

Patchy fog will clear after 10 a.m., giving way to clear skies and sunshine. The high will be 82. The low will be around 62 overnight.

Isolated showers are expected early Friday. The chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase in the late morning hours and again overnight. Temperatures will be much cooler. The high is only expected to reach 77, while the low will be around 65.

Saturday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. The high will be around 76.

Sunday looks mostly sunny with a high near 79.
