EXETER — Over 700 PPL customers kicked off 2018 without electricity Monday.

A PPL customer service representative confirmed 777 customers in Exeter did not have power New Year’s Day morning.

She could not state if the outage was caused by weather or an animal that got into the transformer.

Service to the area is expected to be restored by 1 p.m.
