WB Twp. Police investigating reported carjacking at Wyoming Valley Mall

WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Police are investigating a reported carjacking Monday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Mall.

No weapon was shown during the carjacking of a white Audi that occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m.

WNEP-TV reported a 15-year-old boy who was sitting in the idling car parked near the JC Penney store was pulled from the vehicle by the man who drove it away.

The fleeing car reportedly struck a pickup truck on Kidder Street. The driver of the truck pursued the car, but lost sight of it on Interstate 81 north.

Police did not provide a description of the suspect.
