PLYMOUTH – A box of blue latex gloves was allegedly found inside a pickup truck driven by two people suspected of breaking into a home on Orchard Street on Sunday.
Police said a witness to the burglary observed Michael Mrozoski, 34, of Franklin Street, Plymouth, enter the home wearing blue rubber gloves.
Mrozoski was let into the home after Erin Davis, 34, of Rutter Avenue, Kingston, climbed through a window and opened a door, police alleged.
Police captured Mrozoski and Davis sitting in a Ford F150 pickup truck across the street from the Orchard Street home.
Mrozoski and Davis were charged with burglary, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy. Mrozoski was also charged with theft, and Davis was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were arraigned by District Judge Fred Pierantoni in Pittston and remained jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on Monday for lack of $25,000 bail each.
Harveys Lake police on Monday filed burglary, criminal trespass and theft charges against the pair with District Judge James Tupper in Kingston Township in an unrelated incident. They are expected to be arraigned on the Harveys Lake charges today, according to court records.
According to the criminal complaints filed by Plymouth police:
A witness observed Davis open a rear window and climb into the home at about 2:44 p.m. on Sunday. Mrozoski entered the home after Davis opened a side door, the criminal complaint says.
The witness observed Mrozoski wearing blue latex gloves that matched the box of gloves found inside the truck, police alleged.
Police said the residence was unoccupied at the time of the alleged burglary.
Several envelopes containing collectable coins and receipts taken from the home were found inside the truck, police said.
Police said they found two syringes hidden in Davis’ clothing.
Preliminary hearings are tentatively scheduled on June 30 in Central Court.
