Embattled head back for W-B Area meeting

WILKES-BARREWilkes-Barre Area School Board President Frank Pizzella Jr. attended Tuesday’s board work session, his first appearance with the board since being charged with facilitating a bribe to a board member before Pizzella got on the board.

Pizzella has pleaded not guilty and waived his preliminary hearing to Luzerne County Court.

He chaired the meeting without comment. No other members mentioned the charges, or more recent charges against Richard Emanski, owner of King Glass and Paint in Swoyersville, accused of installing carpet for free at a board member’s house in exchange for district contract work.
