Federal suit filed by support staff union leader against Pittston Area, Superintendent Scarantino

SCRANTON - The Pittston+Area+School+District%22>Pittston Area School District and its embattled superintendent Ross Scarantino have been named in a federal lawsuit filed Friday by a Pittston Area Support Staff Union President Thomas Rome.

Rome's attorney, Cynthia Pollick of Pittston, is seeking a jury trial in the suit she filed in the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania because she the paperwork claims Rome was demoted and placed on the evening shift after speaking out regarding a wage disparity.
