WILKES-BARRE - A pizzeria and pub at East Thomas and St. Clair streets was damaged in a three-alarm blaze Tuesday morning.


City firefighters responded to Teberio's Pizza and Pub, 59-61 E. Thomas St. just after 8 a.m.
Assistant Fire Chief Ed Snarski said there was heavy smoke coming from the building when firefighters arrived on scene. It took about 45 minutes for firefighters to bring the blaze under control.
The restaurant and pub, two unoccupied second floor apartments and the attic sustained fire, smoke and water damage. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof for ventilation.
No injuries were reported.
Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Inspector William Sharksnas determined the fire was intentionally set, Fire Chief Jay Delaney said.
UGI electric and gas crews were called to shut off utility services to the building.
Shannon M. Lada is listed as the property owner, according to Luzerne County property records.
She is listed as the president on the restaurant liquor license, according to Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
