Guilty plea to meth lab allegations

WILKES-BARRE – A Shickshinny man pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges that police found a suspected methamphetamine laboratory in his house after a Children and Youth worker visited to check on two children.

John Louis Palmieri, 38, of McKendree Road, entered the plea to a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine before Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Hugh Mundy. Palmieri will be sentenced on the charge on Jan 20.

According to court papers, on April 21, state police and child caseworkers approached Palmieri while he was in his driveway and asked about two children living in the residence.
