MOUNT POCONO — Officials in northeastern Pennsylvania say it could take days to identify human skeletal remains found by a tree-cutting crew.
Monroe County Deputy Coroner Jody Hutton says it’s often difficult to identify skeletal remains based on what’s found at the scene. Police say they’re looking into a missing persons report from a few years ago.
The remains were found Thursday morning along Route 940 in Mount Pocono.
