SCRANTON – An owner of a Wilkes-Barre bowling alley who pleaded guilty three months ago to failing to pay $25,133 in taxes in 2006 was ordered Tuesday to make restitution.
John S. Chacko, 53, of Larksville, also was ordered to pay a fine of $2,500 and a special assessment fee of $100 and placed on three years probation during his sentencing before U.S. District Judge Richard P. Conaboy in federal court in Scranton, court records state.
Chacko, a co-owner of Chacko’s Family Bowling Center, 195 N. Wilkes-Barre Blvd., entered a guilty plea to tax evasion in March. He originally had been charged with 10 counts of failing to report his income on federal tax returns between 2003 and 2007.
