Judge strikes down judgment in Ciavarella bias case

A Centre County judge today struck down a $3.4 million judgment awarded to the Slusser family in a legal malpractice case in which Luzerne County judge Mark Ciavarella had been accused of bias.

Senior Judge Charles C. Brown Jr. said the family cannot collect on the award issued to them by a jury until other post trial motions in the case have been decided.
