NANTICOKE – Luzerne County Community College will hold registration for spring 2010 semester classes from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 9; 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 11 through Jan. 13 and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 14 and 15, at the college’s campus in Nanticoke. WILKES-BARRE – Field of Grace Community of Faith Church is holding a free Christmas celebration 6:30-9 p.m. today at the Genetti Hotel, 77 E. Market St.
Pastor Marcella Dotson is encouraging people to come out to enjoy the free catered event with holiday music and informal conversation to learn more about the church, which is an affiliate of the United Methodist Church system.
Food includes appetizers, roasted turkey, honey glazed ham, top round beef, pasta, mashed potato bar, including sweet potatoes, salad and desserts.

LUZERNE – Local musician Ronnie Williams will play a benefit concert at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hops & Barley’s at 131 Main St.
Williams recorded a song entitled “Christmas Without You” in tribute to soldiers serving overseas, and it will be available for purchase. All proceeds from the sales will benefit the Northeastern Pennsylvania Veterans Multicare Alliance, which provides assistance to area veterans to assure they receive needed benefits and services.
