Musto amended House Bill 109, a measure that has already cleared the House of Representatives. The amendment also imposes Project 70 restrictions on two tracts of land within an approximately 33-acre park owned by the City of
State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, was instrumental in getting the legislation through the House of Representatives.
“I am very appreciative of Sen. Musto and Rep. Pashinski for assisting the city to move this important legislation forward,” Leighton said. “This now allows us to change the use of some of the land in the project from vacant land to land that can be developed. Part of the land will be used for the recreational project and for the new office complex.”
