WILKES-BARRE – RSVP is supporting the efforts of 911 Cell Phone Bank by collecting old cell phones at its office at 93 N. State St. The cell phone bank provides emergency cell phones at no cost to senior citizens and victims of abuse.
Numerous law enforcement and victims services agencies across the country operate independent 911 cell phone programs. Many use the 911 Cell Phone Bank emergency cell phone program. For information, call 822-1158 or 1-800-252-1512.
WILKES-BARRE – James J. Brozena, executive director of the Luzerne County Flood Protection Authority, will be the guest speaker at today’s meeting of the Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Ramada Inn.
