Nine more applicants seek Skrepenak's seat

Nine more Democrats from throughout Luzerne County submitted applications Saturday to be considered for former Commissioner Greg Skrepenak's seat.

Phillip Knobel of Exeter, John T. Banks of Wilkes-Barre, Beth Ann Wenner of Freeland, Gary R. Shupp of Mountain Top, Joseph A. Naperkowski of Wilkes-Barre, James M. Desiderio  Jr. of Wilkes-Barre Township, Thomas Dombroski of Trucksville, Robert L. Shainline Sr. of Pittston and Antonio J. Rodriquez of Hazleton submitted paperwork to President Judge Chester Muroski's chambers by noon Saturday .

This brings the total number of candidates seeking the position to 12. People interested in applying must submit applications by 4 p.m. Monday.
