Swoyersville brothers facing more charges

Police in Larksville, Courtdale file more burglary charges against Joshua and Jordan Fullam.

LARKSVILLE – Two brothers accused of breaking into several homes in Swoyersville are facing more charges filed by police in Larksville and Courtdale.

Larksville police Detective John Edwards said Joshua Ryan Fullam, 20, and Jordan Michael Fullam, 19, admitted to breaking into a home on East Broadway Street on Sept. 13.

They were arraigned on Tuesday by District Judge David Barilla in Swoyersville on charges of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal conspiracy to commit burglary.

Courtdale police charged the pair on Oct. 5 with breaking into a home on Blackman Street on Aug. 17.

The brothers were arrested by Swoyersville police Cpl. Adam Christian and Officer Jeff Fox during a traffic stop on Sept. 29.

Fox noticed that Joshua Fullam attempted to hide a portable video game system in his pocket during the traffic stop. Fox matched the serial number of the game system to one that was reported stolen from a home on Main Street, Swoyersville, on Sept. 28, according to arrest records.

After their arrests, according to criminal complaints, the brothers admitted to six residential burglaries in Swoyersville since August.

Edwards said Swoyersville police searched the Fullams’ home on Owen Street, Swoyersville, where they recovered numerous items that were suspected stolen from homes.

Several items were shown during a WNEP-16 newscast in which the homeowner on East Broadway Street recognized items like those stolen from the home on Sept. 13, Edwards said.

“My victims called Swoyersville police and the serial numbers of some of the items found in the Fullam home were from the Larksville home,” Edwards said.

Courtdale police allege in arrest records that the brothers forced their way inside the Blackman Street home and stole electronics and jewelry.

Preliminary hearings are scheduled for Nov. 3 before Barilla.

Swoyersville Borough Council at its meeting on Oct. 5 commended Fox for linking the two men to the alleged burglaries.
