LEHMAN TWP. - Two students at Penn State University - Wilkes-Barre were arrested by authorities on Friday on charges they sold marijuana from their apartments.
Gregory Thomas Zukosky, who turns 19 years old on Saturday, and Ryan J. Paige, 20, of Long Pond, were arrested by police in Lehman and Dallas Townships, and the state Office of Attorney General.
Zukosky and Paige were charged with multiple counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility. They were arraigned by District Judge Diana Malast in Plains Township and jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $10,000 bail each.
Authorities allege in arrest records that Zukosky, of Levittown, Bucks County, and Paige were selling marijuana from their apartments in Nittany Commons, an off campus apartment building. Penn State does not own the apartment building that is adjacent to the campus.
Lehman Township Police Chief Harold Kocher said approximately $4,000 worth of steroids were seized in the early Friday morning raid.
Authorities further seized pipes, an air mask with a tube that connected to pipes, and a soda can with a hidden compartment.
Their arrest follows the unrelated arrest of a King's College student on Tuesday by Wilkes-Barre police.
City police allege Pliney D. Nivens Jr., 19, of Bronx, N.Y., was selling marijuana to college students from his dorm room in Flood Hall on the campus of King's College. Police allege in arrest records that Nivens had a pound of marijuana in a safe inside his dorm room.
